Energy survey

Our Energy Survey’s are designed to identify the most cost effective and practical route to reducing your energy consumption and cost.

It will provide you with a clear report stating where savings can be made, the size of the savings and the return on investment. We also provide an implementation plan and identify funding routes that may require no up-front capital.

We would begin through a site visit by one of our experienced consultants to:

Discuss organisation’s approach to energy and carbon management
Collect data on energy consumption (12 months of energy bills and costs/ half hourly data if available)
A walk round survey of the buildings to identify potential savings for lighting systems, heating systems, controls, motors and other building services as well as building fabric and opportunities for renewable
Feedback on initial opportunities

We will then analyse data collected and identify prioritised measures. Depending on the size of site, we may undertake further data collection surveys which can include leaving data loggers. Once all data is collected we will:

Prepare an action plan with estimated costs and savings
Identify suppliers and providers for energy efficiency measures
Provide management style report on findings with recommendations and next steps
Present report and discuss how to move on to the next steps

Completion of an Energy Survey is the vital first step to reducing your energy costs. Typically we will identify 20-30% savings – most of this will be no/low cost measures that can immediately be implemented. Where capital is required, most paybacks will be between 0.5 and 3 years and these projects are normally eligible for loan finance paid for out of the cost savings.
