Does the EEE fall under one of the thirteen WEEE categories?

  1. Large household appliances e.g. cookers, microwaves, washing machines
  2. Small household appliances e.g. irons, toasters, vacuum cleaners
  3. IT and telecoms equipment e.g. PCs, printers, copiers, phones, fax machines
  4. Consumer equipment e.g. radios, hi-fi, video recorders, musical instruments
  5. Lighting equipment e.g. fluorescent tubes, sodium lamps
  6. Electrical electronic tools e.g. drills, saws, sewing machines, electric lawnmowers
  7. Toys, leisure and sports equipment e.g. electric trains, running machines
  8. Medical services e.g. analysers, radiotherapy equipment, dialysis
  9. Monitoring and control equipment e.g. smoke detectors, thermostats, scales
  10. Automatic dispensers e.g. hot drinks dispensers, dispensers for money
  11. Display equipment (e.g. TVs and monitors)
  12. Cooling equipment (e.g. refrigeration equipment)
  13. Gas discharge lamps


This list is not exhaustive and is subject to revision. It acts purely as a guide to the type of equipment that fits into each of the ten WEEE categories.
