Small household appliances e.g. irons, toasters, vacuum cleaners
IT and telecoms equipment e.g. PCs, printers, copiers, phones, fax machines
Consumer equipment e.g. radios, hi-fi, video recorders, musical instruments
Lighting equipment e.g. fluorescent tubes, sodium lamps
Electrical electronic tools e.g. drills, saws, sewing machines, electric lawnmowers
Toys, leisure and sports equipment e.g. electric trains, running machines
Medical services e.g. analysers, radiotherapy equipment, dialysis
Monitoring and control equipment e.g. smoke detectors, thermostats, scales
Automatic dispensers e.g. hot drinks dispensers, dispensers for money
Display equipment (e.g. TVs and monitors)
Cooling equipment (e.g. refrigeration equipment)
Gas discharge lamps

This list is not exhaustive and is subject to revision. It acts purely as a guide to the type of equipment that fits into each of the ten WEEE categories.
