- Large household appliances e.g. cookers, microwaves, washing machines
- Small household appliances e.g. irons, toasters, vacuum cleaners
- IT and telecoms equipment e.g. PCs, printers, copiers, phones, fax machines
- Consumer equipment e.g. radios, hi-fi, video recorders, musical instruments
- Lighting equipment e.g. fluorescent tubes, sodium lamps
- Electrical electronic tools e.g. drills, saws, sewing machines, electric lawnmowers
- Toys, leisure and sports equipment e.g. electric trains, running machines
- Medical services e.g. analysers, radiotherapy equipment, dialysis
- Monitoring and control equipment e.g. smoke detectors, thermostats, scales
- Automatic dispensers e.g. hot drinks dispensers, dispensers for money
- Display equipment (e.g. TVs and monitors)
- Cooling equipment (e.g. refrigeration equipment)
- Gas discharge lamps
This list is not exhaustive and is subject to revision. It acts purely as a guide to the type of equipment that fits into each of the ten WEEE categories.
