About LIFE-Environment
The European LIFE-Environment programme has a specific objective of contributing to the development of innovative techniques and methods by co-financing pilot and demonstration projects; the aim of which is to develop community environmental policy. The LIFE regulation defines five areas eligible for funding:
- Land-use development and planning
- Water management
- Reduction of the environmental impact of economic activities
- Waste management
- Reduction of the environmental impact of products through an integrated product policy
Evans Logistics were successful in receiving funding from LIFE-Environment for our FRM project that demonstrates a system to facilitate the recovery of recyclable materials from waste fridges, freezers and large WEEE household appliances in an environmentally protective manner (LIFE 03 ENV/UK/000606).
