COVID-19 - Comply Direct remain fully operational
Despite the challenges COVID-19 posed in 2020, we are pleased to say that Comply Direct has been able to show great resilience, staying open for business and fully operational throughout the pandemic. We haven’t needed to furlough any of our staff and have grown as a business in 2020-21, in terms of both member base and number of employees.

Our services include, packaging optimisation for recyclability, recycled content validation, plastic tax mitigation and closed-loop recycling solutions which can all help contribute towards resource conservation and a circular economy. Since the launch of The UK Plastics Pact, as well as being a supporting organisation of the pact, we also launched a member benefit service for supporting our scheme members who are part of the Plastics Pact in ensuring correct data reporting to WRAP each year.
Additionally, we are committed to representing our members' views through lobbying to government and providing support to members with their own consultation responses. There is current uncertainty around the future of the packaging waste regulations but we are able to provide surety that we have the resource and knowledge available to us to support members through major legislative change, ensuring they are fully compliant throughout.
We have a dedicated, in-house Policy Leader, Martin Hyde, who is our industry voice and represents our members' views by regularly communicating with government to influence positive change. Martin is responsible for reviewing and analysing environmental regulatory changes and communicating to members how those changes may impact them.
