Comply Direct support children’s charity SELFA at Skipton Pride!

On Saturday 2 July, volunteers from Comply Direct spent the day managing SELFA’s stand at the first ever Skipton Pride, in North Yorkshire.

Comply Direct have always operated as and are continually focused on being a business for good; recognising and advocating the importance of working in a socially responsible manner toward our stakeholders; including customers, suppliers, employees, and our wider community.

As part of this and our efforts to support the local community, all employees receive one paid day volunteering per year as part of our employee benefits, which 6 members of the team used to support children's charity SELFA during this local event. Employees who were unable to attend also managed to get involved in, by contributing the fabulous baked goods to sell on the day, or as part of our crafts club supported in the making of raffles prizes and the Comply Direct logo to display on the Pride Flag!

The day volunteering consisted of set up, overseeing the stall, managing the bake sale, and coordinating the raffle, allowing members of the SELFA team to take some time to enjoy the event. We are extremely pleased to announce the total amount made throughout the day on the stall was £217.70, which will contribute to SELFA’s programme of activities for children attending school in North Yorkshire and their overall goal of creating a community where all children and young people are celebrated and know they belong.

Katie Hoggarth, Activities Coordinator at SELFA said:

"The Comply Direct team ran a Rainbow Tombola stall at Skipton Pride to raise money for Selfa Children's Charity which was incredibly successful, raising £217.70 for our charity as well as some awareness of who we are and what we do to support children and young people. Selfa were incredibly pleased to work with Comply Direct as it meant our young people could get more enjoyment out of the event itself and have a successful stall promoting the charity."
