WEEE Open Scope - How your business might be affected in 2019...register on our free webinar to find out!
Date and time: Friday 2 November 2018 at 10am (Duration: 1 hour max)
‘Open Scope’ means a change to the legislation to make all electrical items in scope of the regulations from 2019 if they meet the published criteria and are not covered by a specific exemption. All WEEE producers will need to review the products they declare under the regulations to ensure they remain compliant in 2019, and some businesses may become obligated for the first time.
The Environment Agency has now reviewed EEE scope guidance to incorporate Open Scope. During this webinar we will provide all the information you need to know regarding the changes, enabling you to assess whether your products now fall under the scope of the WEEE Regulations, or indeed more of them do if you are already a registered producer.
If you place electrical products on to the UK market and aren't currently registered as a WEEE Producer, please do get in touch with our team of WEEE experts who can confirm whether or not you do have an obligation, or will from 2019, and outline the next steps in terms of what you need to do going forward.
