The Environment Agency has now released the verified recycling data for Q3 2018
Figure 1 and 2 below shows the updated recycling levels with and without carry in since our initial analysis of the unverified Q3 data release which can be found HERE
There has been little change to the initial progress we saw upon the original unverified data release in October.

In summary, a mixed performance in recycling levels for Q3 has led to sustained volatility in the PRN market and a lot of recycling is still left to be done in Q4 if we are to reach our overall annual targets. The mixed Q3 data across all materials alongside continued export pressures and a need to fulfil the UK’s General Recycling will mean carry in tonnages may well have to be used in 2018 to help reach these targets, leading to a much tougher start to 2019.
